Iberostar paraiso lindo

iberostar_lindo_lobby.jpgiberostar_lindo_beach.jpgiberostar_lindo_pool1.jpgiberostar_lindo_pool3.jpgiberostar_lindo_pool2.jpgChristie Laplant with James TravelPOINTS a Riviera Maya Mexican Vacation specalists, stayed for 2 nights at the Iberostar Lindo in June 2009 during her site inspection of properites along the coast and commented “this amazing all inclusive resort is a treat for any with a family”.

The Iberostar Lindo is a part of the Iberostar Complex south of Cancun in the Riviera Maya. The best way to describe is ” a cruise ship on land ” colorful, and huge!!!

Its spectacular with 5 swimming pools-two of them lake size pools, a wave pool and a moving river that connects all the pools together. Imagine the fun-body surfing on frothy waves or floating along a winding river that sparkles under a tropical sun. As part of the Iberostar Paraiso, five 3 story buildings with 446 rooms and sites are encased in a tropical greenery. For dining guests can choose from lavish buffets and specialty restaurants with a choice of Italian, Southwest Cajun, Chinese and Gourmet fare. Or stay poolside at the grill & snack bar. Guests of the Paraiso Lindo are welcomed to enjoy the facilities of sister resort Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar and Iberostar Paraiso Beach, giving a total of 14 locations for food and drink, while retaining the privacy of their own resort, how much more do you need!!!

I would describe the Iberostar Lindo as luxurious, elegant, hotel combining spectacular design with the beauty of the Caribbean surroundings. Designed to replicate a charming village complete with a courtyard between each building where the rooms are located.Iberostar Paraiso Lindo has exchange privileges with Iberostar Pariso Maya right next door except for two restaurants (Japanese & Gourmet). The hotel has full exchange privileges with Iberostar Paraiso del Mar and Iberostar Paraiso Beach. The shows at night are fun and very well put together, with professional dancers, and together with the entertainment staff they do an excellent job putting on these different shows each night of the week.

I really enjoyed the food selection from the buffet to the gourmet restaurants, I stayed the year before at the Iberostar Grand, which is right next door and the highest in its category, adults only, and I thought the food was just as good at the Lindo as at the Grand.

Just keep in mind that if you stay at this Iberostart Complex that you need to know that its a bit of a walk from the beach to the lobby area, about 10 min I would say.

Its huge but at the same time they did a good job to give this hotel some what of an intimidate feeling with the different courtyards and lush walkways.

The service is good, everybody is trying all day long to make sure that you are enjoying your vacation from the person that is cleaning your room to the concierge in your building.

Every building has its own concierge who will help you to arrange your a la carte dining, you can if you like arrange this for all nights as soon as you have checked in.

The Iberostar Lindo is great for people that want a high activity hotel, lots of facilities and lots of pools, if you are looking to relax and listing only to the sounds of ocean, do not stay here.

AZUL BEACH

azul_beach_beach.jpgazul_beach_pool.jpg

Christie Laplant with James TravelPOINTS a Riviera Maya vacation specialist recently visited the Azul Beach June 2009 for a site inspection.  From the moment I walked into the open lobby overlooking the ocean in the back ground I knew this hotel was going to be very special.

The Azual Beach located south of Cancun Mexico is a small boutique all inclusive luxury hotel & resort to many of my clients.  Awarded by travel + Leisure Family as the “Hip Gourmet Inclusive®” boutique hotel on a 9 mile stretch of white sand beach.  It only  has 98-rooms all steps from the beach, the hotel has an intimate atmosphere while also providing guests the superior service and amenities of larger luxury resorts. Guests of Azul Beach Hotel can expect personalized attention, gourmet-dining options featuring specialized menus; deluxe destination wedding packages and unforgettable memories with loved ones including amenities for families with small children. Not to mention, culinary activities including private picnics, a fresh fish market and chef prepared beach BBQ, assure there is something for everyone.

What makes Azul so special? With just 98 rooms Azul’s intimate size means each room is less than a minute from the beach, pool, restaurants, bars or any of the resort’s amenities. For sun worshipers they have the beach butlers for the ultimate in service out on the sand. The beach butlers will have soft beach towels for you, refreshment deliveries, tanning products and water vaporizers, what more do you need?

Room suites Azul’s 98 room suites feature contemporary decor, air conditioning, king size or double beds, satellite TV, bath and shower, hair dryer, safety deposit box, daily supplied mini bar, coffee/tea maker, DVD player, direct dialing telephone, port for modem, and a balcony or veranda with a view of the gardens or Caribbean. Categories are superior and deluxe. All rooms are either directly on, or just a few steps away from, the secluded beach . The deluxe rooms are the rooms that are closer to the beach but to be honest even the superior rooms are just a few steps away.

A la carte restaurants The restaurants and bars at Azul feature a selection of eclectic menus and tasty drinks in out-of-the-ordinary settings. Fine international cuisine and all premium drinks will appeal to your sophisticated side, there is a la carte breakfast for adults, and buffet breakfast for adults and children. Kids have buffet food service where they can enjoy their own custom kids’ dishes. About menus; have you ever eaten at a restaurant with five different menus? Have you ever tried ordering from an all-lobster menu? Have you ever had a Tequila Martini? Have you ever had a drink at a bar with swinging beds? Yes it’s fun and all part of the all-inclusive experience at Azul. No reservations required. On a diet? They even have a low fat, low carb menu. Welcome to the gourmet inclusive experience.

Riviera Maya beach location Azul Hotel & Beach Resort is located on beautiful Bahia Petempich in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. Just 15 minutes south of Cancun Airport, 25 minutes south of downtown Cancun, 20 minutes north of Playa del Carmen and 5~10 minutes north of Puerto Morelos. Playacar Golf Club and their 18 hole course is 25 minutes south, next to Playa del Carmen. I would love to share with you the beautiful pictures I took while I did my inspection, or answer any of your questions. My hours are Monday thru Friday from 8am till 5pm, mountain time. Secrets Maroma Riviera Maya Mexico- A Slice of Heaven!

secrets_maroma_riviera_maya_water_feature.jpg

Secrets Maroma, Riviera Maya, Mexico is truly a slice of heaven on Earth. Everything about this resort is there to spoil, pamper, and awe you.  All of the rooms are beautiful suites.  Each one equipped with canopy beds, Jacuzzi tubs, balconies, and privacy boxes (this is where your 24hr room service will be delivered if you are too “busy” to open the door).  Do not forget to tell your concierge which pillow you desire from the pillow menu. Since this is an adults only resort, you never need to worry about your pool time being interrupted by splashing children.  On the contrary, you will be lulled into a state of calm by the tranquil spa music that you hear throughout the resort.  As you lay by the pool, gazing at the turquoise color of the ocean, don’t be surprised if you are interrupted by a man with a platter of sushi, asking if you care to try some. While you are busy working on your tan, the staff is busy bringing you food and drink.  The food is as good as any gourmet restaurant and the drinks are made with top shelf liquor.  Last but not least, the beach! It is a beautiful white sand beach that seems to stretch forever.  My husband and I were in disbelief of the quality of service, ambiance, food, and drink, from the time we arrived and well into the time we left (we are still in disbelief).  It was truly a romantic retreat, our second honeymoon.

Puerto Vallarta

paradise_village_puerto_vallarta.jpgFew Vacation destinations can match the diversity found in Puerto Vallarta.  Mexico is a favorite destination for many in North American to relax on the beach under sunny skies.  Puerto Vallarta located on the pacific coast attracts vacationers with its combination of great beaches, good value and traditional charm.

Puerto Vallarta still maintains much of its atmosphere of the quiet fishing village that it once was. Over the last 30 years of development Puerto Vallarta has grown to become a favorite tourist destination attracting nearly 2 million visitors annually.  The downtown area offers a variety of shopping, excellent dining and the charm of old Mexico.  In the southern zone of Puerto Vallarta, a bit secluded from the rest of town, includes scenic coves, great beaches and hotels scattered along the rugged hillsides.

Puerto Vallarta hotel rooms rang from expensive beachfront properties to in-expensive budget minded hotels in the downtown area.  The hotel zone situated between the marina and downtown retains the ambience of a colonial village and hosts the majority of the hotels and shops.

North of Puerto Vallarta only 20 minutes away is Nuevo Vallarta. A master-planned resort complex, built around a marina, has opened several deluxe hotels over the last few years.  Nuevo Vallarta is easily accessed by local bus transportation, car rental or cab.  Nuevo Vallarta offers a quiet relaxing atmosphere on miles of pristine sandy beach. It is here on a private 12-acre peninsula surrounded by the sea you will find Paradise Village.  Created in the image of the world’s great resorts and Spas, Paradise Village is a beautifully appointed resort offering a relaxing clean safe atmosphere to vacation.  The resort facility includes fine dining, tennis, sailing, jet skis, deep-sea fishing windsurfing, and parasailing. The Spa facilities include an exercise studio, cardiovascular and weight training room, spa treatment rooms. Supervised programs of activities including water aerobics, tennis clinics, and beach volleyball and pool activities.  There are 2 spectacular lagoon swimming pools with flowing waterfalls and slides.  Two outdoor grass hut restaurants serve traditional Mexican dishes along with an assortment of beverages for guest by the pool and on the beach for lunch. Nearby an 18 hole golf course is just minutes away.

The rooms are decorated in the charm and style of Mexico.  Room preferences included junior, one-bedroom and a two-bedroom suite, each lavish suite features a spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen and private terrace.  There is daily maid service and an on-site concierge to cater to any need.  Only a short walk from the facility is a local shopping market available with an assortment of grocery items.

Paradise Village is a superb destination for families and couples who enjoy the ocean, beach and activities available for a relaxing vacation.  Call James TravelPOINTS today at 1-800-538-7461/303 442-2340, www.travelpoints.com.
