Christie Laplant with James TravelPOINTS a Riviera Maya Mexican Vacation specalists, stayed for 2 nights at the Iberostar Lindo in June 2009 during her site inspection of properites along the coast and commented “this amazing all inclusive resort is a treat for any with a family”.
The Iberostar Lindo is a part of the Iberostar Complex south of Cancun in the Riviera Maya. The best way to describe is ” a cruise ship on land ” colorful, and huge!!!
Its spectacular with 5 swimming pools-two of them lake size pools, a wave pool and a moving river that connects all the pools together. Imagine the fun-body surfing on frothy waves or floating along a winding river that sparkles under a tropical sun. As part of the Iberostar Paraiso, five 3 story buildings with 446 rooms and sites are encased in a tropical greenery. For dining guests can choose from lavish buffets and specialty restaurants with a choice of Italian, Southwest Cajun, Chinese and Gourmet fare. Or stay poolside at the grill & snack bar. Guests of the Paraiso Lindo are welcomed to enjoy the facilities of sister resort Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar and Iberostar Paraiso Beach, giving a total of 14 locations for food and drink, while retaining the privacy of their own resort, how much more do you need!!!
I would describe the Iberostar Lindo as luxurious, elegant, hotel combining spectacular design with the beauty of the Caribbean surroundings. Designed to replicate a charming village complete with a courtyard between each building where the rooms are located.Iberostar Paraiso Lindo has exchange privileges with Iberostar Pariso Maya right next door except for two restaurants (Japanese & Gourmet). The hotel has full exchange privileges with Iberostar Paraiso del Mar and Iberostar Paraiso Beach. The shows at night are fun and very well put together, with professional dancers, and together with the entertainment staff they do an excellent job putting on these different shows each night of the week.
I really enjoyed the food selection from the buffet to the gourmet restaurants, I stayed the year before at the Iberostar Grand, which is right next door and the highest in its category, adults only, and I thought the food was just as good at the Lindo as at the Grand.
Just keep in mind that if you stay at this Iberostart Complex that you need to know that its a bit of a walk from the beach to the lobby area, about 10 min I would say.
Its huge but at the same time they did a good job to give this hotel some what of an intimidate feeling with the different courtyards and lush walkways.
The service is good, everybody is trying all day long to make sure that you are enjoying your vacation from the person that is cleaning your room to the concierge in your building.
Every building has its own concierge who will help you to arrange your a la carte dining, you can if you like arrange this for all nights as soon as you have checked in.
The Iberostar Lindo is great for people that want a high activity hotel, lots of facilities and lots of pools, if you are looking to relax and listing only to the sounds of ocean, do not stay here.
